Today, the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Canada's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources; the Honourable David Akeeagok, Nunavut's Minister of Human Resources, Economic Development and Transportation, Mines and Trade; and the Honourable Daniel Qavvik, Nunavut's Minister of Environment, Energy, Culture and Heritage, announced that Nunavut is formally joining the Regional Energy and Resource Tables (Regional Tables). The Regional Tables are a collaborative initiative among the federal government and individual provinces and territories, alongside Indigenous partners and with the input of key stakeholders, that aim to advance, accelerate and collaborate on the top economic priorities in the energy and resource sectors in each of Canada's regions as we transition to a net-zero future. ᐅᓪᓗᒥ, ᒪᓕᒐᓕᐅᖅᑎ ᔮᓇᑕᓐ ᕕᐅᓪᑭᓐᓴᓐ, ᑲᓇᑕᒥ ᒥᓂᔅᑕ ᐆᒻᒪᖅᑯᑎᓄᑦ ᓄᓇᒥᐅᑕᓕᕆᔨᒃᑯᓐᓄᓪᓗ, ᒪᓕᒐᓕᐅᖅᑎ ᑕᐃᕕᑦ ᐊᕿᐊᕈᖅ, ᓄᓇᕗᒻᒥ ᐃᖅᑲᓇᐃᔭᖅᑐᓕᕆᔨᒃᑯᑦ, ᐱᕙᓪᓕᐊᔪᓕᕆᔨᒃᑯᓐᓄᑦ ᐃᖏᕐᕋᔪᓕᕆᔨᒃᑯᓄᓪᓗ, ᐅᔭᕋᕐᓂᐊᖅᑐᓕᕆᓂᕐᒧᑦ ᑕᐅᖅᓰᖃᑦᑕᓂᕐᒧᓪᓗ ᒥᓂᔅᑕᖓ; ᐊᒻᒪ ᒪᓕᒐᓕᐅᖅᑎ ᑖᓂᐊᓕ ᖃᕝᕕᒃ, ᓄᓇᕗᒻᒥ ᐊᕙᑎᓕᕆᔨᒃᑯᑦ, ᐆᒻᒪᖅᑯᑎᓕᕆᓂᕐᒧᑦ, ᐃᓕᖅᑯᓯᓕᕆᔨᒃᑯᓐᓄᑦ ᒥᓂᔅᑕᖓ; ᐊᒻᒪ ᐊᓗᑭ ᑰᑦᑎᖅ, ᐊᖏᔪᖅᑳᖅ ᓄᓇᕗᑦ ᑐᙵᕕᒃᑯᓐᓄᑦ, ᑐᓴᖅᑎᑦᑎᖅᑲᐅᕗᖅ ᓄᓇᕗᒻᒥᐅᑦ ᐃᓚᐅᓂᐊᕐᓂᖏᓐᓂᒃ ᐊᕕᒃᑐᖅᓯᒪᔪᓂᒃ ᐆᒻᒪᖅᑯᑎᑦ ᐱᔾᔪᑎᒃᓴᓪᓗ ᓴᖅᑭᑕᐅᔪᓄᑦ. ᐊᕕᒃᑐᖅᓯᒪᔪᓂᒃ ᓴᖅᑭᑕᐅᔪᑦ ᑲᑐᔾᔨᖃᑎᒌᒃᖢᑎᒃ ᐱᓕᕆᐊᖑᕙᓪᓕᐊᔪᒪᕗᑦ ᑲᓇᑕᒥ ᒐᕙᒪᒃᑯᓐᓂ ᐊᒻᒪ ᑲᓇᑕᒥ ᓄᓇᕗᒻᒥᓗ ᐊᕕᒃᑐᖅᓯᒪᔪᓂᒃ, ᐱᓕᕆᖃᑕᐅᖕᒥᓗᑎᒃ ᓄᓇᖃᖅᑳᖅᓯᒪᔪᓂᙶᖅᑐᑦ ᐱᓕᕆᔨᐅᖃᑕᐅᔪᑦ ᐱᖃᖅᑎᐅᖃᑕᐅᓪᓗᐊᑕᖅᑐᓪᓗ ᐅᖃᐅᓯᕆᓯᒪᔭᖏᑦ, ᑐᕌᒐᖃᖅᑐᑦ ᐱᐅᓯᒋᐊᕈᑕᐅᔪᓐᓇᕐᓗᑎᒃ, ᐊᐅᓚᔾᔭᐃᒋᐊᕈᓐᓇᕐᓗᑎᒃ, ᑲᑐᔾᔨᖃᑎᒌᒍᓐᓇᕐᓗᑎᒡᓗ ᑮᓇᐅᔭᓕᐅᕋᓱᖕᓂᕐᒧᑦ ᐱᕙᓪᓕᐊᓂᕐᒧᓪᓗ ᓯᕗᓪᓕᐅᔾᔭᐅᔭᕆᐊᖃᓪᓚᕆᒃᑐᓂᒃ ᐆᒻᒪᖅᑯᑎᓕᕆᔨᒃᑯᓐᓂ ᐃᑲᔫᑎᒃᓴᓄᓪᓗ ᐱᓕᕆᕝᕕᖕᓄᑦ ᑕᒪᐃᓐᓂᒃ ᑲᓇᑕᒥ ᐊᕕᒃᑐᖅᓯᒪᔪᓂᒃ ᓅᑉᐸᓪᓕᐊᑎᓪᓗᑕ ᐊᕙᑎᖃᕐᓂᕐᒧᑦ ᓱᕈᖅᓴᐃᙱᑦᑐᒥᒃ ᓯᕗᓂᒃᓴᒧᑦ.
